According to DNR, Rugby is getting ready to unveil its new e-commerce site. Considered in many ways the future of Polo Ralph Lauren, the company is carefully nurturing the brand’s growth and expansion.
The next step for the younger-skewed and lower-priced line, which is sold in 12 company-owned stores around the U.S. (including D.C.’s Georgetown location), is an e-commerce site which will also include style tips, unique videos and blog-based content.
Off The Cuff DC is proud to have already been cited on the Rugby blog, and I look forward to reviewing the revamped site.
The e-commerce site has been in development for around a year, and the updated Rugby.com is scheduled to relaunch on August 12.
“The site is fantastic and truly beautiful,” said David Lauren, senior vice-president of advertising, marketing and corporate communications. Additionally, it is user-friendly and “will break ground,” he predicted. “This is not just technological bells and whistles. It comes up quickly and is easy to navigate for anyone who wants to use it.”
