I would like to mark an important moment in the life of my blog. A full-circle type of thing.
I was just reading the Holiday 2006 issue of Menswear and came across an excellent interview with Jon Green, one of New York’s foremost custom tailors. Among his many excellent sartorial guidelines covering such things as single v. double breasted suit coats and correct collar spreads, Mr. Green advises men to be more adventurous when dressing.
He suggests finding a signature color combination….like brown and gray! Well, that made my day. Let’s just say I feel completely vindicated.
I started this blog because of misguided advice on dressing – an “expert” doling out such nuggets of wisdom as avoiding brown and gray because the combination is difficult and unattractive. Well, the record is now set strait, the wrong righted.
If anyone has a problem with that, they can call Mr. Green.
